Hi Mom,
Happy Easter! He is risen.
We had a good Sunday. Service at 9am then lunch with the Lietzs this
afternoon. Chloe had a sleep over for a big birthday party bash. I
had to pick her up at 8:30am then race over to the church to meet
Theresa and Megan. It was a full house. We are watching "The Tourist"
right now and are all pretty wiped out.
Yesterday there was a Easter egg hunt at the church. Unfortunately
they had to move it indoors because we had SNOW! It snowed/rained
most of the morning.
Friday night we had a good Good Friday service. I played guitar for
the service along with a few other acoustic instruments (piano,
12-string, violins). It was very low key and reflective. Megan had
a sleepover too. If it's not one it's the other. Chloe also babysat
for a neighbor. Can't tell if they are coming or going.
The rest if the week was pretty normal craziness. Monday BSF, Tuesday
Theresa shared her story with the Erie women, Wednesday was the last
day of classes for W2W (next week is the brunch and final session),
Megan had talent show rehearsals... I don't know what else happened
:-)
Well that's it for now. Keeping it short and sweet tonight.
Luv u,
Jeff

Weekly Email

Hi Mom,

Another week another update.

Seems like the routine is much the same.

I did get out for another bike ride today. Better results. I fixed my flat and made sure I had all the gear to survive any more mishaps. Spare tube, patch kit, tire irons, CO2 cartridges, pump, $20 bill - I had it all. I went with my good friend Andy Kellermyer too.  So the buddy method was in effect. Only problem was it was WINDY! 20-30mph. A 2-hour beating.

I've also been running with Darren DeReuck and Boulder Striders getting ready for Bolder Boulder. Tuesday/Saturday workouts with the club.

Then keeping up with my swimming.

And finally coaching Desra. I do a weekly plan for her.

Getting ready for triathlon season :-)

The rest of life is equally busy too.  Work is good but lots of meetings. 70% of my time blocked out by meetings. With no time left to do any real work. But glad to have a job given Steve's situation. I talked to him last week. He's hanging in there.

Megan has been practicing and rehearsing for the talent show. She's doing good but really nervous about singing and playing guitar all on her own on the big stage.

Chloe went to volleyball conditioning on Friday and spent the night at Ashley's. Megan also had a sleep over at Julia's house. So, Theresa and I had a night alone. We were so wiped out from the week that we couldn't even go out on a fun date. So, we cozier in with pizza, beer, and a movie. The worst movie movie ever - "Burn After Reading". It had so many big stars in it but it was sooooo bad.

The girls all went to a baby shower yesterday afternoon for a friend of a friend. Then we all met up with the Brittons for dinner at Chilis. Their 6 and our 4 for a party of 10. It was fun. Afterwards we came home and watched the original "Arthur" with Dudley Moore and Liza Minelli. It was a little dated. And we couldn't even make it through. Lights out at 9:30pm.

We just watched the Virtual Choir 1.0 and 2.0. That was very cool. There is a good talk by the composer from the TED conferences.

Theresa has been prepping for a talk on Tuesday night at a ladies group in Erie, sharing her story. She is also doing a knitting demonstration for W2W in a couple of weeks that she has been thinking about and preparing for. Other than that she's just doing her normal super-mom and wife impersonation too working two jobs, girls night out, cooking, laundry, getting girls ready for school and then some.

Well time for nachos and a Disney movie.

Luv u,

Jeff

Ammended Weekly Update :-)

I have the memory of an ant....  How could I forget - Theresa didn't have girls night out on Tuesday.

We went on a date night to see Chris Tomlin in concert in downtown Denver at the Wells Fargo Theater.  We went with the Brittons and Chloe and Megan babysat their kids while we were out.  We had a bite to eat at Ted's Montana Grill for dinner before the concert.

The concert was great.  There were a bunch of Calvary people there.  It was part concert/part worship service.  We got home around 11:30pm.  Late night for the girls with school the next day.

As I'm writing this, I'm watching Rory McIleroy self-destruct.

Luv u,

Jeff

Hi Mom,

Let's see what the recap for the week is....

Watching the Masters today.  Have it on in the background while I'm puttering around and taking care of things.  Hoping McIleroy can hang on.  Tiger is putting on quite a charge.  I watched some yesterday too.

I had a frustrating bike ride yesterday.  Ended up with a flat tire and it turns out that I had the wrong tube in my kit (mountain bike instead of road bike).  No passerbyers had a spare tube.  So, I had to call Theresa - who was in the movies at the time (Soul Surfer).  Finally, when the movie let out, she came to get me.  I sat under a tree for an hour :-)

BSF was good on Monday.  Still making our way through Isaiah - Chapter 55.  Theresa had girls night out on Tuesday.  We all had dental appointments on Wednesday ($700+).  Thursday I went out and did a coaching session with Desra.  Also, Thursday Megan tried out for the school talent show.  She played my guitar and sang a Taylor Swift song - Mine.  Friday night Chloe spent the night at Brynn's and Theresa, Megan, and I hung out and watch 127hours.  They hadn't seen it before.  I still get queasy when he stabs his arm and has to break his bones.

Friday morning I logged on to the Taylor Swift website trying to buy tickets for her Sept. 27th concert in Denver.  I had 4 tickets in the way way back and decided I would just double check if there was something better.  Well it turns out there wasn't and by the time I went through all that (5-6 minutes) the tickets were all sold out.  Such a bummer.  The girls were pretty disappointed.  But we will keep trying and see if they happen to release more or if someone can't go and wants to sell them on Craigslist.

I uploaded 20 new pictures to the Ceiva - check them out.

Theresa says she doesn't need the hangers right away.  Save you money on shipping and just bring them in July.

Great news about securing the accommodation for skiing.  We will happily sort out the food.  Take and bake pizzas from Safeway or Costco work great for us!

Good job on continuing to clean out the storage bins.  It's easy to accumulate things over the years and hard to get rid of it.

We had crazy rain, hail and snow last night.  It was really coming down around 2am.  I think it even unsettled Dots.  He slept on the floor on Theresa's side of the bed all night.

Well, that's about it.

Luv u,

Jeff

Weekly Email

Hi Mom,

Can't believe a whole week has passed since we were in Tucson.  Thanks again for a great week.  Like most vacations it went way to fast and was way to short.

Last time this week we were headed out of Moab home.  We did have a great drive home though.  Totally worth the extra time.  Here are some pictures from the drive home:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/sherard/tags/drive/show/

But it's back to the routine.  A full week at work.  BSF Monday night.  Theresa at Sport Solutions on Tuesday/Thursday.  Girls night out.  W2W on Wednesday.  Running Club.  Music practice on Thursday.  Sleep overs for both girls on Friday.  Birthday party on Saturday.  Worship Team and church this morning.  Busy Busy Busy.  I need another vacation.

We had some really warm days later in the week - up in the 70s and 80s.  Some of the days were pretty windy though.

Theresa and did go see a movie yesterday while the girls were over at Whitney's birthday party.  We saw "Limitless" at the Boulder theater.  It was pretty good.  The premise was cool.  The movie purports that we only use 20% of our brains (not true ) and a pill was developed that let you use all of your brain.  The possibilities are 'Limitless'.

Next Tuesday, Theresa and I (and a large group from church) are going to see Chris Tomlin  in concert.  The girls are babysitting for the Britton's and we are going to have dinner with Jody and Aaron before the concert and carpool down there together.

Today is turning out to be a lazy day after church.  We had weird snow/hail and have cozied in to watch "The Pursuit of Happyness".  Theresa is puttering around doing laundry.  There are always loads and loads of laundry to do :-(

Well, that's about it.

luv u,

Jeff
